Long Branch Lakes

LONG BRANCH LAKES
Long Branch Lakes (LBL) is the premier gated community high atop the Cumberland Plateau in beautiful Tennessee. This inviting development is ideal for retirees, families and folks seeking to live where they can enjoy life and nature. Some folks have even been fortunate enough to be able to relocate their businesses because of the convenience of LBL’s fiber optic network. LBL offers luxury living to folks seeking a quality lifestyle with relaxation, natural beauty, and an outdoor playground with wonderful amenities. LBL, a rare jewel in the retirement market continues to enhance their already abundant offerings to residents.

They have just added the heart of their community, the Long Branch Lakes General Store. Despite the financial debacle of the past two years, Mr. Edmond Cash the senior member of the LBL Developer Team, has been steadfast in his desire to create a true community. His great vigor, pioneering spirit, and love of the area, has compelled him to continue investing both his time and his treasure as he continues to work diligently to create a paradise for current property owners, residents and new families just building their homes. Mr. Cash is happiest when he works in the background masterminding road building and other construction, or sitting in the dining room at the General Store eating breakfast and chatting with workers, residents and the many visitors seeking a better quality of life. The new LBL General Store is the perfect destination point for a relaxed meal, a gathering place for friends to break bread, a spot to catch up on emails (free WI-FI available) or just to sit and sip a piping hot cup of coffee and enjoy a piece of homemade pie while watching the news. Thanks to Mr. Cash, who is an avid gardener himself, LBL has a ‘secret garden’ that supplies the restaurant and store with fresh seasonal produce. Take home a jar of muscadine grape or “Annie’s favorite” the Autumn Olive jam. The berry bushes, planted throughout LBL are a food source for the abundant game (wild turkeys, birds, and deer) and are also now used to produce one of the most popular jellies offered in the LBL store. During the summer and fall the abundant garden produces zucchini, corn, squash, tomatoes and decorative pumpkins and gourds which are used throughout the community to decorate. Not to be missed are three different types of honey produced from the LBL bees, including clover, autumn and sour wood. The General Store is a true reflection of repurposing old material with part of the store using old barn logs, the interior ceilings are made of tin and old fencepost, and horseshoes are used for decorative furnishings. There is a wonderful outdoor screened in patio area overlooking the lake which has a wood burning stove to warm cool fall and winter days. It is the perfect place to hang out and enjoy life.

The LBL community now boasts of eight full time residents and expects to have about fifteen by spring 2011 and many other families from around the country (and the world) are buying land and are in the stages of finalizing their dream home layouts. The character throughout LBL shows the consistent thread of quality which welcomes everyone driving through the grand entrance with the log lined fences, the rustic lampposts, the covered bridges and the luxurious amenities like the resort style pool overlooking one of two stocked Bill Dance Signature Lakes. LBL has something for everyone. Grandchildren and children love LBL. There is never a shortage of things to do. Full size basketball and volleyball courts, miles of horseback and hiking trails, swimming, boating, fishing and thousands of surrounding acres of playground with the Bledsoe State Forest to the east and popular Fall Creek Falls State Park to the west. The pavilions throughout LBL are inviting and are often used for family gatherings, spontaneous community barbecues, social gatherings and popular LBL “Discovery Weekends”.

LBL has also invested heavily in their equestrian center with equestrian managers Lamar and Vanessa Wright offering the novice or experienced rider a luxury equestrian paradise with a 100’ x 200’ outdoor arena with new paddocks, pastures and miles and miles of groomed trails. Lamar and Vanessa can board horses, break and train horses and give professional instruction if desired. Many of the home sites offer lake views and forest views. The new Bunkhouses at LBL, offer home sites in the equestrian village — an extraordinary environment. The Trout Hill Condominiums are also completed and these high end, two and three bedroom, luxurious condominiums offer all the amenities of LBL with low maintenance and lavish living. High end granite countertops, sumptuous kitchens, tasteful luxury interior designs, and all units are fully furnished. Sit and enjoy the fireplace in the living room and the gorgeous forest views from every window. Trout Hill Condominiums offer an outdoor patio with garden area or balconies with lake and wooded views and are very reasonably priced. They can also go on their vacation rental program if desired after purchasing.

One of LBL’s delightful features is their desire to develop a community spirit and obtain feedback and involvement while they evolve the master plan. This has created a wonderful togetherness, pioneering and independent mind set, not found in “Big City” living. LBL has created daylight for many seeking hope and a reality check during the past years of adversity and economic challenge. Many folks have realized that they don’t need to wait until retirement to enjoy the lifestyle they truly desire in an extraordinary community by means of the fiber optic system offered at LBL. Many are moving their satellite and/or home offices within their dream home. This allows them to get away from the high taxes, stressful living, hard winters and crime in too much of main stream urban America. Come visit LBL during one of their “Discovery Weekends”, visit them online for up-to-date events and information or take a drive and have breakfast, lunch or a snack at the new LBL’s General Store.
